William Collinge will conduct an in-service presentation for the social work staff at Providence Cancer Center in Portland, Oregon. The program will focus on implementing the Center's plans to distribute the Touch, Caring and Cancer Program to new families coming for cancer treatment services. Providence Cancer Center will be the first facility in the country to make this program available to families.

William Collinge and Janet Kahn will give a presentation at the Society for Integrative Oncology Annual Meeting in New York, entitled "Randomized controlled trial of family caregiver use of massage as supportive cancer care following multimedia instruction," presenting findings from the Touch, Caring and Cancer program. William will present two three-hour continuing education programs for nurses at the Harriet Osborn Jeckel Conference, "Practical Wisdom: Easing Suffering through Healing Presence," Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, Portland, Oregon. The programs will include an overview of the Caring and Cancer Project, the research findings, a panel discussion with couples who participated in the project, and an opporunity for pariticpants to experience aspects of the program.
